RestedXP Monthly Update – March Report

Hello everyone,

our Gnome and Goblin engineers worked on some updates and bug fixes.
Here is a summary of released changes for the March update.

Season of Mastery & Classic Era

Alliance

The SoM guide will now skip a lot of zones if you are too high level to do the zone. This includes: Westfall, Redridge Part 2, Desolace (Non-Warlocks), Swamp of Sorrows (Warlocks), Blasted Lands, Azshara, and a lot of single quests that are not very efficient.
Fixed unneeded hearthstone set for Human Warlocks
Fixed small mistake with Stormpike’s Order logic
Adjusted “Breaking the Keystone” to be doable by Warlock and Mage. Comments changed to reflect that
Added missing training steps for certain classes at 22
Combined some Warlock steps in Ashenvale
Added missing training step at 28
Fixed a missing flight to Ironforge in the 29-32 Guide
Fixed a missing waypoint for a flight to Southshore in the 39-40 guide
“Tear of Tilloa” collect step improved
Added an xp grind gate for level 34 training
Improved level 34 training logic after turnins
Removed some comments on steps that weren’t required. E.g., “Skip this quest if you haven’t completed this quest”
Further details added for the “Big Game Hunter” quest
Added unitscan to Shadowy Assassins (Southshore attack event)
Added unitscan to Elder Saltwater Crocolisk (STV Quest)
Added unitscan to Caliph Scorpidsting (Tanaris Quest)
Fixed a waypoint for a Flight Path in 34-35 STV
Fixed an issue with telling Druids and Warlocks to use a Water Breathing Potion in Faldir’s Cove
Fixed various small typos
Elaborated “Defeat Nek’rosh” quest further, added for Mages
Added missing teleports for timesaves/training for Mages
Added missing teleports for training for Druids
“The Knife Revealed” (and other quests in the chain) will now tell you to go upstairs to the quest givers
Fixed waypoints en route to “Mackreel’s Moonshine” turnin
Fixed missing waypoint for “Encroaching Wildlife”
Fixed missing waypoint for a Hardcore Hearthstone set in Booty Bay
Fixed missing hearthstone waypoint for Feathermoon
Fixed missing waypoint for flying from Feathermoon
The quality of the steps structure around Lost Rigger Cove has been improved
Further elaborated “The Altar of Zul” quest objective
General small improvements throughout Tanaris to do with steps structure
Added missing line for destroying the Heavy Throwing Daggers from “It’s a Secret to Everybody”
Changed waypoint and added a reminder to equip/unequip the Gahz’Ridian Detector for “Gahz’ridian”
Added more waypoints to better specify the locations of the Half-Buried bottles for “Message in a Bottle”
Split steps for “The High Wilderness” to direct focus toward Gordunni Shamans
Added a more in-depth description for “Unfinished Business”
Added reminders for people to keep 15 Silk Cloth for “Caught!”
Added missing “Stormpike’s Order” turnin
Improved waypoints+step layouts on a plethora of Searing Gorge quests
Split and changed some of 39-40 Dustwallow/Desolace into separate guides to allow for better routing (primarily for SoM Warlocks)
Fixed issue with “A Sign of Hope” being accepted too early on Warlocks
Fixed issue with “Fire Taboo” auto skipping
Fixed issue with “Blisters on The Land” auto skipping
Fixed issue with “Driftwood” being attempted to be turned in on SoM 100%
Fixed issue with “Tharil’Zun” autoskipping
Fixed duplicated “Up to Snuff” step. Cleaned up the steps in the same area
“It’s a Secret to Everybody” step swapped with quest accepts in order to avoid waiting for the RP event
Fixed slight waypoint issue with “The Super Snapper FX” quest
Added autoskip if you don’t have the “Old History Book” quest
Added autoskip if you don’t have the “Southshore” quest
Added autoskip depending on the quest progress of “A Kings Tribute”
Added autoskip depending on the quest chain progress of “The Rumormonger” (if Desolace gets skipped)
“Morgan Stern” quest step for Warlocks changed to be accepted when nearer the Warlock trainer
“Wolves At Our Heels” is now skipped at 25+
Redridge Part 2 (Orc and Gnoll quests) are now properly skipped at 26+
“Northfold Manor” changed to Era/Som 40% only
“A King’s Tribute” changed to Era/Som 40% only
“Thistleshrub Valley” and “The Thirsty Goblin” quests moved to a later level
“Mazen’s Behest” quest added at 38 for all classes (to help ease the hs cooldown for 38-39)
“Trelane’s Defences” quest added
“Devils in Westfall” quest added
“Fiery Blaze Enchantments” quest added
“The Sovereign Imperative” quest added
“WANTED: Overseer Maltorius” quest added for Warlocks, including a guide on how to do so
“Davil’s Libram” guide added for Warlocks
“Soothing Turtle Bisque” quest added (Turtle Meat will be farmed in Shimmering Flats)
“What Is Love?”, and “The Binding” (Incubus quests) added
“Argent Dawn Commission” Turnin added

Horde

The SoM guide will now skip a lot of zones if you are too high level to do the zone. This includes: Second part of First part of hillsbrad, second part of Stonetalon, some of the second part of Hillsbrad, first part of Dustwallow, Badlands, Second part of Dustwallow, Searing Gorge, Azshara and a lot of single quests that are not very efficient.
Fixed a bug that made it skip 22-24 Hillsbrad – Era & 24-25 Class quests instead of making it choose between one of the two guides.
Removed some quests not required for the Rogue and Shaman class quests
XP threshold for level 6 & level 8 in durotar reduced to fit 100% quest XP rates.
Level 6 death skip in Durotar moved to the tower to ensure you spawn in Razor Hill
Fixed an issue that could send a few classes to Orgrimmar twice for specific class quests in specific circumstances
Added Maces training in Thunder Bluff for Rogues.
Added the option of buying a Scimitar as a Rogue in Undercity.
Rogues now told to buy throwing weapons in Ashenvale
Rogues now told to buy Potions and Scrolls in Ashenvale (to solo BFD for Outlaw Sabre)
Fixed spelling mistake when getting the Crossroads flightpath
Fixed duplicate Crossroads flightpath step
“Hunting in Stranglethorn” step moved slightly to provide more quest log space
Optimised Hearthstone usage in Ashenvale for Warlocks
Optimised city steps for some classes at level 28 in Thunder Bluff
Optimised city steps for some classes at level 30 in Orgrimmar

(Changed death skip step in Winterspring to a hearth step due to this change)
“Marg Speaks” Questline fixed to only show if previous quests are done
Fixed issue with “Souvenirs of Death” not auto skipping under certain conditions
Added autoskip if you didn’t do “Stinky’s Escape”
Further elaborated “Gordunni Cobalt” quest objective
“Keep an Eye Out” and “Up to Snuff” step order changed
Quests from the Shimmering Flats will be correctly skipped/abandoned if Dustwallow Marsh Part 1 is skipped
Thunder Bluff at 41 will be correctly skipped if Dustwallow Marsh Part 1 is skipped
Thunder Bluff at 47 will be correctly skipped if Dustwallow Marsh Part 2 is skipped
Added route to get to Badlands from Searing Gorge if Badlands Part 1 is skipped
Added missing step to ensure “JOB OPPORTUNITY: Culling the Competition” is complete before delivery.
Added a missing step to ensure “Kim’Jael’s “Missing” Equipment” is complete before delivery.
Added missing level 56 training in Orgrimmar for all classes.
“Testing the Vessel” will now be correctly done at the same time as “Hunt the Savages”
“Natural Materials” now accepted earlier
“It’s a Secret to Everybody” step swapped with quest accepts in order to avoid waiting for the RP event
“Zapped Giants” now done at two different times as to not have to wait for respawns
“Cleansing Felwood” now turned in earlier to save travel time
